Hi Folks,
I'm Barry G, also known as the old git with a camera. I am a keen natural history photographer and amateur mycologist (fungi). With this site, I offer you an insight into my world. Unfortunately I don't get around like I did, it comes age, but I can still fall out of my car and find something along the country lanes to occupy my interest. My main focus, as you will see, is fungi, but I have other strings to my bow which make this site varied and interesting to those who like to take photographs whether amateur or professional.
I have been taking photos for pleasure now for about 12 years, and launched my website in order to share my interest with like minded people. I also run a daytime class for the over 50's who want to progress their photography further. We have a website at www.laburcen.weebly.com where I am the organiser and webmaster. I also run workshops and photo shoots in the field for anyone who wants to progress their knowledge of photography and mycology. That doesn't make me an expert in either, but someone who believes that together we can learn and improve our knowledge and techniques by working with each other. Interestingly enough all these images are taken within 50 yards of a car park or road
